William P. Davis III, 63
William P. Davis III, 63 of Orient formerly of Portsmouth, went to be with the Lord Monday September 8, 2008 at SOMC Hospice.He was born December 10, 1944 in Franklin County. He was a Chief Radiologist for Barix of Columbus, an Army Vietnam Veteran, a member of James Dickey Post 23 American Legion, attended Canaan Land Church of Grove City and a former member of Rubyville Community Church. William was also preceded death by his wife Lucy A. Henderson Davis in June of this year.
William is survived by 2 sons and their wives; Jeff and Christy Davis and Bryan and Lori Davis all of Portsmouth, 4 grandchildren Hope, Hannah, Kylie and Alex Davis.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, September 11, 2008 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Calvin Ray Evans officiating. Entombment will be at Memorial Burial Park with graveside military rites by Post 23 American Legion. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday and 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday.
