William Howard Furnier, 81

William Howard Furnier, 81 of Portsmouth, formerly of Upper Twin Creek, died Tuesday, July 2, 2008 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. William was born August 2, 1926 in Buena Vista to the late James and Martha Devers Furnier. William was proceeded in death by his first wife Evelyn Blevins Furnier and a companion Frances Roe; four brothers Paul, Daniel, Orville and Herb Furnier; two sisters, Mabel Markwell and Effie Whaley; two nieces Laura Mae Hayslip and Joyce Cook, and a nephew Greg Roe.

William is survived by his companion; Alberta Burchett; brother-in-laws Jonas (Clara) Blevins and Roy Blevins; special nieces, Linda Taylor and Lenora and Amy Blevins; nieces, Brenda Taylor, Brenda Parker, Crystal and Lori Haynes, Wilma and Louise Holsinger, Hariett Richmond, Audry Roe, Kate Jackson, and Carolyn Whaley; nephews, William Blevins, Travis Blevins, Roy "Pete" Blevins, Frosty Blevins, David Markwell, Paul Markwell, Herbie Markwell, Brian Haynes, Henry Roe, and Harold Roe; and a good friend Carl Holsinger.

Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Saturday, July 5, 2008 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth, with Winford Fugate officiating and interment in McKendree Cemetery.
