William C. Holcomb, 89
William C. Holcomb, 89 of West Portsmouth, died Sunday March 18, 2007 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born January 1, 1918 in McGuffy, Ohio to the late Oscar and Harriet Oiler Holcomb. He was a WWII Army Veteran and was retired form the railroad. William was also preceded in death by his wife Sally J. "Judy" Holcomb, 3 brothers; Frank, Conneth and Kirtly Holsomb, 2 sisters; Doris Scott and Linda Mewhorter.
William is survived by a stepson Neal Jarvis, 3 brothers; Oscar Holcomb Jr, Kenneth Holcomb and Jr. Lee Holcomb, 4 sisters; Dorothy Scott, Ruth Newman, Phyllis Barker and Patricia Greeno, several nieces and nephews and a special niece Jackie Fitchpatrick.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, March 22, 2007 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. Interment will be in Siloam Cemetery with military rites by James Dickey Post American Legion. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8PM on Wednesday and an hour prior to the service on Thursday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
