William J."Jake"McGlone, 85
William J. "Jake" McGlone, 85 of St Albans, West Virginia, formally of Portsmouth went home to be with the Lord and his beloved wife Betty on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston, West Virginia after a long illness.
He was born April 27, 1922 in Greenup County, Ky. to the late David and Ella Meadows McGlone. He retired from Modine Manufacturing and was of the Baptist Faith. William was also preceded in death by his Wife Betty J. McGlone in 1978, 2 sisters; Della Strickland and Mary Smith and 3 brothers; Cecil Hurley McGlone, David McGlone Jr. and Willard McGlone.
William is survived by a son William "Bruce" McGlone of St Albans and a brother Raymond McGlone of Waverly.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday November 17, 2007 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Reverend Ray McGlone officiating and interment in Friendship Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 7PM on Friday and 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com .
