William Joseph Lang, 67

William Joseph "Billy Joe" Lang 67, of Columbus, formally of West Portsmouth, died Sunday October 5, 2008 at Villa of Georgetown Nursing Home in Georgetown, OH. He was born June 27, 1941 in Kenova, West Virginia, to the late Richard and Emma Laura Smith Lang Sr. He was a retired welder, a member of the Knights of Columbus and a long time member of the Desert Island Club of Columbus. Along with his parents Billy Joe was preceded in death by 4 brothers; Richard Jr., George, Robert and Jimmy and 2 sisters; Carol Sue Hickman and Erma Lee Riggs.

Billy Joe is survived by 2 brothers; Ronald (Katheryn) Lang Sr. of Mt Orb, OH and Edward Smith of Kenova, WVA., several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews., along with his loving companion of 10 years Peggy Williams.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday October 9, 2008 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Father David Young officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park.
