William E. Pick Sr. 74

William E. "Bill" Pick Sr., 74, of West Portsmouth, died Sunday November 30, 2008 at his home. He was born December 5, 1933 in Portsmouth. He retired in 1987 as a telephone maintainer for the Norfolk & Southern Railroad after 24 years of service. He was also a special deputy for the Scioto County Sheriffs Dept. for many years. Bill is preceded in death by his grandparents Ernest and Grace Pick and mother Ethel along with a granddaughter Lisa Marie Pick.

Bill is survived by his wife of 54 years, Juanita G. Pick, 4 sons; Bill (Joy) Pick Jr., John and Duane Pick all of West Portsmouth, and Jerry Pick of California, a daughter Connie Staley of Lima, grandchildren; Jacki Pick of Virginia, Jason Pick of West Portsmouth, . Holly Pick (Justin) Cook and Jill Pick of West Portsmouth, Cheyene Pick of Dayton and Aaron Stevens, Derrick and Jared Staley of Lima, his dog Dolly, nephews; John (Sharon) Pick of Minford, Ernie Pick, nieces Rosa Adams and Family of New Boston, Mary Toland and family of Texas, Teresa Russo and family of Italy, Lena Gambill of Wheelersburg, Linda Rigsby of Georgia and 2 great grandchildren Adaleigh and Burgundy.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday December 4, 2008 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with David Lute officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park.
