Wilma Jean Duffy, 84
Wilma Jean Duffy, 84 of West Portsmouth, died Saturday October 13, 2012 at her home. She was born October 8, 1928 in New Boston to the late Harvey Guy and Mary Elizabeth Fannin Hook. She worked at Selby Shoe Company for 20 years and then worked at Mercy Hospital in the kitchen. She taught Sunday School for 10 years at the Nazarene Church in Portsmouth on 3rd and Brown, and currently attended Miller's Run Evangelical Church. Wilma had attended church for over 40 years. Along with her parents Wilma was preceded in death by her husband Kerwin Max Duffy, 2 sons; John Patrick Duffy and David Carver, 3 sisters; Bonnie Stone and Ruth and Thelma Mae Hook.
Wilma is survived by 2 daughters; Donita (Jess) Whitt of South Shore, KY., and Ginny Duffy of West Portsmouth, 2 step children; Donald K. Duffy and Paula Staten, a daughter in law, Patty Whitt, 6 grandchildren; Tracey (Julie) Carver, Jason (Kathy) Chamblin, Mark Chamblin, David Carver Jr., Mary Beth Carver and P.C. Carver, 4 great grandchildren; Blake Carver, Whitney Lewis, Dajah Carver and P.C. Carver Jr..
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday October 18, 2012 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Robert Alexander officiating and interment in Waring Cemetery in Garrison, Ky..
