Wilma Claire Rice, 92
Wilma Claire Rice, 92, a former West Portsmouth resident died Friday, November 19, 2004 at Heartland Rehab Center in Jacksonville, FL. Wilma was born June 4, 1912 in Otway to the late Jacob and Betsy Free Loevenguth. She was the owner-operator of a Grocery Store on Dry Run for many years.
Wilma was preceded in death by her husband Edward J. Rice. She is survived by a daughter Donna (Rick) Milstead of Jacksonville FL; a brother Roger Loevenguth of Greenup, KY; a sister Jean Kegley of Portsmouth; two grandchildren, Richard (Ruth Ann) Milstead of Ft Sill, OK; Timothy Milstead of Jacksonville, FL; two great grandchildren, Meaghan and Josh of St. Augustine, FL. Wilma is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends. She was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters and a grandchild.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Reverend Matthew Brooks officiating and interment in Koenig Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 6 to 8 P.M. on Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
