Wilma M. Strickland, 97

Wilma M. Strickland, 97, of McDermott went to be with the Lord, September 10, 2022, at Rest Haven Nursing Home.  She was born on September 20, 1924, in Scioto County, to the late Roy and Pearl Altman Culp. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by husbands, Eugene Strickland and Aaron Strickland; 2 brothers, Oakie and Fred Culp, and 2 sisters, Alta Comer and Edith Hilt.

She worked at the William's Shoe Factory in her younger life but spent much of her career at the McDermott United States Postal Service.

She is survived by a son, Gerald Strickland of Waco, Texas; a daughter, Bonnie (James) Williams of Friendship; a sister Jackie Winters of Circleville; two daughters of her heart, Brenda (Jake) Faul and Linda (Mike) Nance; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; a loving daughter-in-law, Reba Staten, and a sister-in-law, June McClary.

Services will be held at 1:00PM, Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at the Pleasant Valley Community Church in Lucasville, Ohio with interment to follow at Rushtown Cemetery.  Friends may gather at the church beginning at 11:00AM until 1:00 on Tuesday.  In lieu of fowers, donations may be made to the Pleasant Valley Community Church of Christ, 723 Sedan Crabtree Road, Lucasville, Ohio, 45684, in Wilma's memory.  Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
