Winona E. McCoy, 85
Winona E. McCoy, 85 of New Boston, died Tuesday July 3, 2012 under the care of Heartland Hospice at Hempsted Manor. She was born June 17, 1927 in Pike County to the late Albert and Opal Matthews Dunn. She was a graduate of Portsmouth West High School and a graduate of Ohio University where she received a teaching degree. She taught 4th grade at Nauvoo Elementary School for approximately 30 years. Along with her parents Winona was preceded in death by her husband Theodore McCoy, a son Michael McCoy and a brother Earl Dunn.
Winona is survived by her grandson Kevin McCoy and 2 sisters Alberta Graham and Fonda Pertuset both of West Portsmouth.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
