Winvel Howard, 92
Winvel Howard 92 of Lucasville died Monday April 9, 2007 at Hillview Retirement Center. He was born July 7, 1914 in McGoffin County Kentucky to the late Christy Harvey and Millie Conley Howard. Winvel was a retired maintenance engineer and was a member of Pine Grove United Baptist Church.
Winvel was also preceded in death by his wife Minnie Adams Howard, 3 daughters; Alberta H. Frances, Lucille Howard and Minnie Jean Easten, 1 brother Woodrow Howard; 4 sisters, Virtre Howard, Annabell Estep, Celia Hathaway and Lena Webb; two grandchildren, Michael Francis and Tina Francis.
He is survived by a sister Marie Webb, 6 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday April 13, 2007 at Pine Grove United Baptist Church with Elders Arvil Murray Jr. and Jon Daniels officiating. Interment will follow at Mershon Cemetery. Friends may call at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday and 1 hour prior to the services at the church.
