Anna Belle (Pennington) Thacker

Anna Thacker, 90

Anna Belle Thacker, 90 of McDermott was called home on July 12, 2022. Born June 30, 1932, in Portsmouth to the late John and Eva Pennington.

Anna is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Charles Thacker, whom she married June of 1960, 6 sisters, 3 brothers, and one son, Tony Thacker. Anna and Charles had 8 children together.

She kept the home running and helped Charles tend to the garden. Anna was a follow of Christ whom attended Trinity Holiness Church. She studied her bible daily, re-reading it dozens of times. Anna enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family especially Sunday dinners after church.

Surviving her are her sons; Charles (Patricia) Thacker, Thomas (Sharon) Thacker, Stephen (Tonya) Thacker, John Thacker, James (Danielle) Thacker; Her daughters, Barbara Thacker and Susan (John) Ingles; One brother, Samuel Pennington, 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday July 16, 2022 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Sam Pennington officiating and interment in Siloam Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8:00 PM on Friday and one hour prior to service on Saturday. The family would like to thank Heartland of Hospice for everything they have done.
