Chad Alan Phillips, 52

Chad Alan Phillips, 52 of Tampa, Florida formerly of West Portsmouth went home to be with the Lord on Saturday August 27, 2022, at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was a 1988 graduate of East High School. After graduating, he proudly served his country for 23 years in the United States Air Force, where he received his bachelors. He served with distinction, receiving multiple awards and citations, achieving the rank of Chief Master Sergeant.

Survivors include his soul mate of 24 years, Saliema Manning Phillips, his daughter Jessika and son Ezavyer Phillips, his grandchildren who he loved and adored, his loving father Les Phillips and mother Penny Martin, father and mother-in-law Dennis and Lynda Manning, a special “second mom” Aunt Connie Weber; 2 brothers, Patrick Manning and Joshua Martin; 4 sisters, Krista Cheek-Mowery, Lt. Colonel Amie Stryker, Jackie Norrie, and Jennifer Knittel; best friends Rick Mays and Brett Osborne; several aunts, uncles, and special nieces and nephews.

 A celebration of life will be held at 7:00PM Friday September 2, 2022 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Kyle Fannin officiating and military rites by the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 5PM.
