Charles "Chuck" Earl Hamilton, 72

Charles Earl Hamilton, 72, of South Portsmouth, Kentucky, died August 25, 2022, at his home.  He was born November 18, 1949, in Portsmouth, to the late Herschel and Emalou Jenkins Hamilton.  Along with his parents he is preceded in death by a sister, Linda Lou King, 2 brothers-in-law, Charles King and Phillip Conn, and his mother and father-in-law, Ott and Annie Fultz. 

Charles was a cable splicer technician and worked for GTE for most of his career, a member of the Eagles 4285 in Portsmouth, and enjoyed all sports but especially the Cincinnati Reds and the Cincinnati Bengals. 

He is survived by the mother of his children Sandra Kay Fultz, his children, Charles Earl Hamilton Jr., Dustin Shane (Amy) Hamilton, and Carol Jean (Alfredo) Garcia; 4 brothers, Donald (Jeanniean), Robert, Herschel Wade, and Thomas Hamilton; 5 sisters, Sandra (Donnie) Wise, Shari Conn, Suree Markwell, Valeria “Kitty” Wade, and Loren Hamilton; 7 grandchildren, Dustin Garrett-Hamilton, Acacio Coffmann, Triniti Coffmann, Billy Collier, Megan Collier, Haley Bermea, and Britny Hamilton; 6 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. 

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5 to 6:00 PM on Monday, August 29, 2022, at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with a memorial service starting at 6:00PM. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
