Christopher Reed, 47

Christopher Reed, 47, of West Portsmouth, died on July 13, 2024, at his home.  He was born April 19, 1977, to Ellis Andrew Bryant and Della Mae Reed.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Kamer; a sister, Amanda Bryant; a stepfather, Ernest Leroy Lawson; his paternal grandparents, Emmanual and Audrey Bryant; and his maternal grandparents, Genevieve and Robert Reed.

After graduating from Portsmouth High School, Christopher ultimately began work for the City of Portsmouth Water Company where he was a quality technician.  When he wasn’t working, he spent his time with his extended family, showing his competitive side bowling or playing darts, watching his beloved Cleveland Browns, or just spending time outdoors.  When possible, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and kayaking. 

Along with his parents, he is survived by a sister, Victoria (Shannon) Taylor; 2 brothers, Andrew (Courtney) Bryant and Michael Bryant; along with lots of cousins, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and friends that loved him. 

A gathering of friends will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024, from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth.  Condolences may be sent to rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
