Christopher “Chris” Dee Vogler, 49

Christopher “Chris” Dee Vogler, 49, of West Portsmouth died unexpectedly Thursday, April 27, 2023. He was born July 14, 1973. His family is deeply saddened by his sudden death.

Chris graduated from Portsmouth West High School in 1991 and went to work for Norfolk Southern Corporation as an engineer. Chris was an avid dirt track and NASCAR fan and loved spending time on the golf course and racing RC cars.

Chris is preceded in death by his father, Dee Vogler, grandparents Stacie and Delbert Vogler and Ray and Irene Horton.

Chris is survived by his mother, Connie (Bob) Pratt, his stepmom, Kathy Vogler, son, Christopher “CJ” Dee Vogler Jr; daughter Kaytlin “Dani” (Chase) Dooley; sister Jennifer (Josh) Hammonds; niece and nephews Dustin, Sophia, and JC Hammonds; a special cousin Tammy (Lawrence) Harris; long time best friend Darren Litz and many other cousins, friends, and family.

Arrangements are being handled by the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. The family requests any donations be made directly to the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
