Craddock B. Frye, 87

Craddock B. “Doc” Frye, 87 of West Portsmouth, gained his Angel wings on Saturday, December 13, 2025. He was born October 7, 1938 in Portsmouth to the late Emory and Tennessee Meenech Frye.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by 2 sons; Gregory Scott Frye and Mark S. Frye and 2 brothers; Donald Frye and Louis Frye and a grandson.

Craddock retired from Osco Industries and was also a retired Minister from Stoney Run Freewill Baptist Church. He was also a certified Electrician. Craddock loved to play golf and was very good at it. He also was a big Ohio State fan.

Craddock is survived by his wife of 67 years, Patricia Waddell Frye whom he married in 1958, a daughter Julie (Mark) Puckett, 5 grandchildren; Steven Baker, Mark A. (Bridgett) Puckett, Rachel (William) Winters, Scott Frye and Jonathan Frye, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, December 18, 2025 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Jimmy McCullough officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park.
