Dallas Phipps, 82

Dallas Phipps, 82 of Columbus, died Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at the Laurels of Walden Park. He was born December 12, 1941 in Lucasville, to the late William “Bill” and Elizabeth Sparks Phipps.

Along with his parents Dallas was preceded in death by his first wife , Judy Norman Phipps, a son George Phipps, a daughter, Margaret Nott, 4 brothers; Larry, Danny, Phil and Dave Phipps and 3 sisters; Reba Marcum, Brenda Rucker and Louise Marcum.

Dallas was retired from Capital Manufacturer and was a member of Crossroads United Baptist Church.

Dallas is survived by his wife, Sue Moore Phipps, whom he married on December 12, 2010, a son, William “Willie” Phipps, 2 daughters; Connie Phipps (Donnie Dempsy) and Lisa (Randy) Bowe, a stepdaughter, Penny Wheeler, 2 brothers; Roger Phipps and , Roy Phipps a sister, Bonnie Myers 9 grandchildren,17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at Big Run United Baptist Church in Lucasville with Bill Basiden and Rick Baldwin officiating and interment in Big Run Cemetery. Friends may call the church on Monday starting at 3:00 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth.
