Deborah Scaff Rice, 64 from McDermott passed away peacefully on Thursday September the 19th at home.

Debbie was a devoted Christian, mother, grandmother, wife and great grandmother. Debbie always stood strong in her faith and never wavered from God. Debbie was preceded in death by her Mother, Father, sister and both grandparents.

Debbie was survived by her 2 children Joshua Saunders; Mary (Steven) Clere both of McDermott her grandchildren Autumn Richards of Lucasville; Kayeleigh Reinhardt of Portsmouth; grandson Clayton Grant of McDermott, a Sister Doreena Holbert of Bainbridge and Husband Dale Rice of McDermott. She was also survived by her 3 great grandchildren Serenity Richards; Raelynn Richards and Aryanna Eldridge.

A memorial service will be held at 7PM Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Pastor Pete Shaffer officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday starting at 5PM. Condolences and donations can be made at www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
