Emory Allan Dials, 61

Emory Allan Dials, 61 of Oak Hill, formerly of West Portsmouth, died Saturday October 22, 2022 at his home. He was born December 5, 1960 in Portsmouth to the late Franklin David Dials and Mary Ann (Norman) Gross who survives.

Along with his father he was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Franklin D. Dials Jr. and Randy Dials, grandparents George and Irene Adkins and Emory and Garnet Dials along with many aunts and uncles.

Emory was a 1979 graduate of Portsmouth West High School and was a United States Marine Corps veteran. He formerly worked at Graf Brothers in South Shore.

Along with his mother Mary Ann, he is survived by his daughter Antonia “Tony” Dials McIntosh, 2 grandchildren: Isaiah and Clay McIntosh, 2 sisters: Lisa (Keith) Webb and Bonita Dials Belcher, and several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday, October 28, 2022 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Keith Webb officiating. Interment will be in Worley’s Run Cemetery with graveside military rites by the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday starting at 11:00 AM.
