Garris James “Gary” Sirek, 81

Garris James “Gary” Sirek, 81 of Wheelersburg, died Thursday, January 30, 2025 at The Chillicothe V.A. Hospital. He was born January 31, 1943 in Grand Forks, North Dakota to the late James and Minnie Malafa Sirek.

Gary was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked for the Railroad, the N&W, C&O and retired from Union Pacific Railroad.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Robert Sirek and Johnny Sirek and a sister Mary Ann Bleess.

Gary is survived by his wife Cathy Faye Davis Sirek, whom he married on June 19, 1970, a brother, James (Val) Sirek, 2 sisters; Darlene Ford and Cathy Shamberger along with several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday February 6, 2025 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Junior Wiley officiating and Military Rites by the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. The memorial service will be broadcast on Facebook live on the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home Facebook Page. Friends may gather starting at 10:00 AM.
