Gary R. Gambill, 75

Gary R. Gambill, 75 of Stout, died Monday March 21, 2022 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born January 27, 1947 in Portsmouth to the late William and Hazel Tackett Gambill.

He was a United States Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. Gary retired from Dayton Walther foundry. He was a member of the United Steel Workers and also the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. He loved boating, fishing, deer hunting and was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeye football.

Gary is survived by his wife Judy (Sartin Gambill whom he married on May 23, 1987, his children: Gary M. (Lena) Gambill of Wheelersburg, Jason Gambill of Miami FL., Brian McNeil (Jodie Glenn) of West Portsmouth and Jamie McNeil (Dustin Gordon) of Stout, grandchildren: Laiken, Erik and Sean Gambill, Ally, Owen, Wyatt and Ava McNeil, Devyn (Christina) McNeil and Gavin Houchin, great grandchildren: Waylon and Willow McNeil, and a brother Carl (Pam) Gambill along with several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Thursday March 24, 2022 at Friendship Cemetery with Vicki Bloomfield officiating. Military Rites will be provided by the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. Friends may gather at the cemetery starting at 12:00 PM noon.
