Harry C. “Tater” Litz Sr., 88

Harry C. “Tater” Litz Sr., 88, of West Portsmouth, died November 28, 2023, at SOMC Hospice.  He was born in West Portsmouth on June 2, 1935, to the late Henry D. and Carma M. George Litz. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by; 2 sons, Ritchie Askew and Harry C. Litz Jr.; 2 brothers, James and Cobb Litz; 2 sisters, Darlis Rollins and Jettie B. Stanchfield; and a great grandson.

Harry worked for Boone Coleman Construction and was a member of the Teamsters Union.  He enjoyed going to local auctions and was always ready to wheel and deal. 

He is survived by; 3 grandsons, Ryan (Sarah) Askew, Christopher Litz, and Andrew Clayton (Rebecca Kent) Litz; 7 great grandchildren, Ruby and Justin Askew, Madeline, Maxwell, Jordan, Jayce, and Jaxon Litz; 2 sisters, Thelma Bradshaw and Diana Wellman; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

The family would like to thank Edgewood Manor for the years of care and SOMC Hospice for their compassion. 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Rick Ratliff officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park.   Friends may call at the funeral home starting at 12:00PM on Saturday.  Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
