Hubert W. Perkins, 69

Hubert W. Perkins, 69, of West Portsmouth, died September 17, 2024, at Concord Health and Rehab Center. He was born in Columbus on October 24, 1954, to the late Hubert and Ida Mae (Smith) Perkins.

Along with his parents he is proceeded in death by a son, Adam W. Perkins, and 2 brothers, Robert and Stuart Wayne Perkins. Before retiring, Hubert worked for Shawnee Flooring engineering hardwood floors.

He enjoyed everything about being outdoors. He especially enjoyed hunting ginseng and arrowheads with his wife, as well as fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his loving wife, Suzan (Wise) Perkins, who he married in Vanceburg Kentucky on June 10, 1975; a son, Jesse Perkins; a brother, James Sparks; 3 grandchildren, Shelby Perkins, Kristen Milstead, and Jonathon Maynard; and many special nieces, nephews, friends, and family.

A funeral service will be held, Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 1:00PM at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Danny Blevins officiating and interment to follow in McKendree Cemetery. Friends may gather at the funeral home starting at 11:00 AM on Saturday.
