Jeremy Joe Synder, 54

Jeremy Joe Synder, 54 of West Portsmouth, died Sunday, December 7, 2025 at SOMC Hospice surrounded by his family. He was born March 20, 1971 in Dayton to the late David Lester Snyder and Sharon Rose Snyder Davis who survives.

Along with his father he was preceded in death by a sister, Diana Dee Williams.

Jeremy was a United States Army veteran and a retired Police officer from the Grandview Hospital Police Department. He was a member of Medway Baptist Church in Medway, Ohio and a member of the American Legion in Springfield.

Along with his mother Sharon, he is survived by his wife Kim Sparks Snyder, whom he married on May 23, 2025, a son Austin David Snyder, stepchildren; William (Tiffany) Logan and Sara (Chris) Coleman, a brother John David (Rachel) Snyder and a sister, Ashlie (Chris) VonWeller, 5 grandchildren; Noah Coleman, Haley Coleman, Kamryn Logan, Riley Logan and Mason Lyons, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Thursday, December 11, 2025 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Raymond Lewis officiating and military rites by the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Interment will be in Roar Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
