Jerry Colley, 75

Jerry Colley, 75 of West Portsmouth, went to be with the Lord on Saturday March 4, 2023. He was born July 29, 1947 in Portsmouth, to the late John and Effie McKnight Colley.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by the love of his life, June Elaine Atkins Colley, whom he married on September 27, 1969, 3 brothers: Earl, John and his twin Gary Colley, 3 Sisters: Jacqueline Staggs, Carolyn Shepherd and Sandra Gray.

Jerry was a retired corrections officer at SOCF and attended Rehoboth Mission Church. Jerry was an avid sports fan who loved to watch the Buckeyes and the Bengals, but most of all he loved spending time with family.

Jerry is survived by his children, Penny (Danny) Winters, Peggy Colley and Jerry Daniel (Kristi) Colley, all of West Portsmouth. His grandkids, who were his pride and joy, Ethan (Addeline) Winters, Emily Winters, AnnaBeth Jenkins, Cheryl Staker, Shayla Walker, Harley (Megan) Journey and Shawnee Hebert, a great granddaughter, Marlee Staker, a brother, Richard (Shirley) Colley and sisters: Connie Cook and Cammie (Jerry) Justice. Jerry also had many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with David Lute officiating. Interment will be in Scioto Burial Park.
