Marcella McGraw, 84

Marcella Jane McGraw, age 84, of Lucasville, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her home on December 12, 2025. She was born on June 14, 1941, in Blue Creek, Ohio, to Alva Lee Williams and Ellen Icie (Gifford) Williams.

Marcella was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was rooted in family, dedication, and strength. She married the love of her life, Oscar Elmo McGraw, on February 24, 1961, and together they built a life centered on love, commitment, and hard work.

Marcella proudly served her community through her career at the SOCF Correctional Institution, where she retired in 2002 as a Sergeant. Her strong work ethic, leadership, and integrity earned her the respect of coworkers and those she served.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters Edrie (Paul) Price, Ruby (Clarence) Blevins, Bernice Leone Williams, and Opal Ione; and her brothers Donald Leroy Williams, Virgil Robert Williams, and James Richard Williams.

Marcella is survived by her loving husband of over six decades, Oscar Elmo McGraw; her children Steven Mac McGraw, Ray Thomas McGraw and wife Tricia, and Patricia Ellen McGraw Roberts and husband Lee. She was a cherished grandmother to Christopher (Brittani) , Steven McGraw, Jordan Roberts, Bree (Jordan) Schobelock, and Cheyenne Hubbard, and a proud great-grandmother to 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.

Marcella will be remembered for her strength, loyalty, and unwavering love for her family. Her presence was steady and comforting, and her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Larry Moore officiating and interment in Sunshine Ridge Cemetery.
