Nancy Ruth Staggs, 86

Nancy Ruth Staggs, 86 of West Portsmouth died June 25, 2021 at SOMC Hospice.  She was born June 24, 1935 to the late Elsworth “Pete" and Ruth Elmore Young.  Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Staggs; 2 brothers, Danny Lee Young and David Young; and 2 sisters, Barbara Jean Justice and Billie Jo Davis. 

Nancy was retired from Verizon as a telephone operator and loved her family more than anything. 

Nancy is survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews that she loved like her own who felt the very same way.  The family would like to thank 2 of her SOMC palliative care nurses Sherry and Debbie for the care they provided. 
 

Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Scioto Burial Park with Pastor Rick Phillips officiating. Friends may call at the graveside on Thursday starting at 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to SOMC Hospice in Nancy’s name.  Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
