Sarah Jane Damron, 65

Sarah Jane (Steele) Damron, 65 of Portsmouth, died Saturday December 24, 2022 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. She was born September 3, 1957 in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late Walter and Irene Laney Steele.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Michael Damron, whom she married on August 2, 1983, a son Robert L. Damron, 4 brothers: Erbie Lee Steele, Walter Steele Jr., Howard Leslie Steele and Bruce Steele, 3 sisters: Gladys Messer, Ival McGraw and Thelma Lou Lowe.

Sarah is survived by a son, Michael Allen (Crystal) Steele, a daughter Amanda Rose (Doug) Webb, 4 grandchildren: Denim Borders, Thomas Caudill, Raquel Caudill and Trace Smith, 1 great grandchild, Tommy Caudill along with several nieces nephews and friends from Portsmouth Health and Rehab.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Friday December 30, 2022 at Friendship Cemetery with Roy Bennett officiating. Family and friends will gather starting at 12:30.
