Shelly Ann Nickles, 59

Shelly Ann (Ridout) Nickles passed away on January 3rd, 2023. She was born on September 8th, 1963. She graduated from Vallèy High School. She had worked at Hillview Center for a time, but later she went to tax school and worked completing tax returns for years. Shelly married the love of her life, Rodney Nickles on August 12th, 1986. Sadly, Rodney passed away on June 24th fifteen years later. They were blessed with 2 sons, Andy and Ryan. Shelly loved her boys and they became her most important priority.

Shelly loved laughing, playing pranks, spending time with her family and cooking. Shelly loved to create her own recipes and make meals for her sons. Shelly was a truly giving person and even when feeling poorly, she would still help others, often making meals for those in need. Shelly also loved spending time at the beach, but nothing could ever compare to spending time with her family.

Shelly is survived by two sons, Ryan Lee Nickles and Andy Joseph Nickles (wife Tiffany Massie Nickles) her parents, John and Connie (Mershon) Ridout, and a brother Scott Ridout (wife Leah Stout Ridout.)

The family will forever miss her laughter and the smile in her eyes, but she will finally get to meet Rodney again along with several loved ones who have been called to heaven.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday January 10, 2023 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home is West Portsmouth. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday staring at 11:00 AM. She will rest at Mount Zion Methodist Church Cemetery on Little Rocky Rd @ Frost Cemetery Rd South Shore Kentucky. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
