Sherry Lynn Vernier, 61

Sherry Lynn Vernier, 61 of West Portsmouth, went home to her Jesus whom she has served her whole life on Saturday, January 6, 2024. She was born October 30, 1962 in Portsmouth to the late Edward Willis and Donna Perkins Willis who survives. Along with her father she is preceded in death by a grandson Aiden Vernier.

She was a member of the Victorious Life Church and took great pride in being the owner and director of Hand of Hope Counseling.

Sherry is survived by her husband Paul Roger Vernier Jr. whom she married May 24, 1980. 2 sons, Paul Roger (Tiffany) Vernier III, and Ryan Vernier, 2 brothers, Eddie (Ginger) Willis, and Jason (Erica) Willis, a sister Kim (Scott) Coleman, a sister-in-law Leichia Davis, 4 grandchildren, Gracie, Brayden, Sophie and Bryson Vernier, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00PM Wednesday January 10, 2024 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Vicki Bays officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
