Susan Elaine Vernier, 63

Susan Elaine Vernier, 63 of West Portsmouth, died Tuesday July 5, 2022 at SOMC Hospice. She was born November 17, 1958 in Portsmouth to the late Harold Joseph Evans and Maxine Manchester Evans who survives.

Along with her father she was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Timothy Joseph Evans and Kenneth “Choca” Evans. Sue formerly worked in the accounting department at Glockner’s.

She was an avid Ohio State fan and loved to watch the NFL. But more than anything she lived for her grandchildren.

Along with her mother, Sue is survived by her husband of 44 years, Jeff Vernier whom she married on April 10, 1978, 3 sons: Aaron Evans, Nicholas Vernier and Ryan (Trudy Blair) Vernier, a sister Sherri (Jeff) Sparks, 9 grandchildren, one great grandchild and one on the way.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday July 9, 2022 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Jason Hobbs officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8:00 PM on Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
