Virgil Lee Johnson, 87

Virgil Lee Johnson, 87 of McDermott, died Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born June 23, 1938 in Scioto County to the late Frank and Francis Worstell Johnson.

Virgil was a United States Army veteran serving during the Cuban Missle Crisis. He worked at the Steele Mill and was a retired heavy equipment operator, truck driver and painter. He was also a member of the Painters Union.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers; Jesse Johnson, James Johnson and Kenneth Johnson and a sister Bonnie Judy.

Virgil had 3 children; Jeffrey,Tina and Tamara, and is survived by a brother Dan (Sandy) Johnson, and a sister in law, Dianne Johnson

Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Friday, November 28, 2025 in Manchester Cemetery in Manchester, Ohio. Visitation will be on Friday from 10 to 12:00 PM at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
