Wayne Ernest “Ernie” Diller, 69

Wayne Ernest “Ernie” Diller, 69 of West Portsmouth, died Friday, February 23, 2024 at SOMC Hospice. He was born November 20, 1954 in Portsmouth to the late William B. “Bill” and Wanda Jean Evans Diller.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brother William E. Diller and sister-in-law Karen Diller.

Ernie was a graduate of Ohio University with a degree in Communication. He was a former Vice President of Omni Services of Conroe Texas and was a scheduler for USEC and Fluor at the A-Plant.

Ernie is survived by his wife Barbara “Barbie” Yerkes Diller , whom he married on October 15, 1988, a niece, Amanda (Chris) Dice, nephews: Patrick Diller, Kyle (Holly) Diller, BJ Yerkes and Lucas Yerkes, great nephews: Elijah and Noah Dice, great niece, Aubrey Dice, brother-in-law William Yerkes Jr. and sister-in-law Diane (Darrell) Reynolds.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth.
