"Ruth" was the best Mee-Maw a grandkid could ever hope to have, and the nights spent in her and Richards ranch style home will never be forgotten or diminished in my spirit. Years later finding this obituary reminds me of the influence she has over me now, just as she did years and years ago when simple fun times were all that we had.

I talked to Ruth on the phone a few weeks ago and she mentioned, by the by, that it gave her comfort to know she'd someday be buried by her mother and dad.  I'm sorry her smile and kindness are gone from this world, but they will live on in memories.  She was a wonderful, wonderful husband to Uncle Richard and opened those arms that gave such good hugs to many people.  She will be missed.

Everyone here always enjoyed visiting with Ruth whenever she came in to pick up prescriptions for herself or Richard. She was a wonderful, caring
person.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to the family of Ruth.     We loved Ruth and always enjoyed her smile whenever we met her.      We are sorry that we didn't know her children personally, but just want to know we thought a lot of your mother.    Take comfort in knowing that she is in a much better place than having to live with the aftermath of a stroke.
God Bless you....
Our Sympathy & Prayers,
Ron & Wilma Hawkins

Our condolences to Ruth's Family, our prayers are with you all.
We knew Ruth here in Illinois. We saw how good she was to, and for, Uncle Richard during a very difficult time. She was also good friend to Mom, Virginia.
She will be missed by all of us.
God Bless.
